Students have the option to switch between programmes or study modes under specific conditions. Here is a breakdown of the switching policy and associated fees:
-
Switching Between Subjects of Study:
- Eligibility: Students may request a switch to a different subject of study (e.g., from Data Science to Software Engineering) at least five (5) working days before their programme start date.
- Fees: An administration fee of R2,500.00 is required for all programme switches.
- Refund: If switching from a higher-cost programme to a lower-cost one, a partial refund (in line with our Refund Policy) will be issued within 20 working days. The administration fee will be deducted from this refund.
-
Switching from Full-Time to Part-Time Mode (and Vice Versa):
- Within First 30 Days: Full-time students may switch to part-time mode or vice versa within the first month (30 days) of their programme. After this period, switching is no longer allowed.
- Fees: An administration fee of R2,500.00 applies, plus any additional costs if switching to a more expensive programme.
- Refund or Additional Fees:
- If moving from a more expensive programme to a less expensive one, the administration fee is automatically deducted from any eligible refund.
- If switching to a higher-cost programme, the fee difference must be paid in advance, along with the administration fee.
-
Additional Fee for Switching After Programme Start:
- Within First 30 Days: For students on a monthly installment payment plan, an additional fee equal to 50% of the monthly support cost applies for switches made within 30 days of the start date, along with the R2,500.00 administration fee.
- Confirmation and New Programme Start: Once payment and processing are complete, the student will be disenrolled from the current programme and enrolled in the new programme, starting on the next intake date.
Switch requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and final decisions are at the discretion of the Admissions Department.
