Step 1: Open Your Invitation
Check your email for:
- Subject: "Invitation to collaborate on [repository name]"
- Click "View invitation" (expires 72 hours after sending)
Step 2: Sign In to GitHub
- Click the "Sign in" button (you should already have an account from onboarding)
- Use the email/password you created during setup
Step 3: Accept Write Access
After signing in, you’ll see:
- "You’ve been invited to collaborate with write access"
- Click "Accept invitation"
Verify Successful Access
- You should now see the repository in your GitHub dashboard
- Try cloning the repo to confirm permissions
