At HyperionDev, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, professional, and supportive learning environment for all students and staff. By enrolling in a HyperionDev Bootcamp, students agree to uphold our Student Code of Conduct and engage respectfully across all communication channels and learning spaces.
✍️ Respectful Communication
Students are expected to communicate professionally and respectfully with:
- Fellow students
- Mentors and lecturers
- Student Support teams
- Academic staff
- Any HyperionDev representatives
Respectful communication applies across all platforms, including:
- Slack or Discord channels
- Email communications
- Mentor calls and lectures
- Support tickets
- Public forums and social media
We encourage students to raise concerns, ask questions, and request support through the official communication channels provided by HyperionDev. Students acknowledge that it is inappropriate to air complaints or disputes publicly when internal support and complaints processes are available.
Expected Student Behaviour
As part of your Bootcamp participation, students are expected to:
- Take responsibility for their own learning and progression
- Participate actively in lectures, tasks, and support processes
- Treat others with dignity, professionalism, and respect
- Reach out for assistance when struggling academically or personally
- Provide accurate and truthful information when requested
- Follow HyperionDev policies, procedures, and Terms & Conditions
- Use HyperionDev systems, platforms, and tools responsibly
Students are also expected to maintain confidentiality and protect any private or proprietary information shared during the Bootcamp.
Unacceptable Behaviour 🚫
The following behaviours may constitute a breach of the Student Code of Conduct:
- Bullying, harassment, intimidation, or abusive behaviour
- Disrespectful or aggressive communication towards students or staff
- Sexual harassment or discriminatory conduct
- Plagiarism or academic dishonesty
- Online trolling, stalking, unlawful defamation, or targeted harassment
- Sharing confidential or private information without authorisation
- Misrepresenting yourself or impersonating another individual
- Misusing HyperionDev systems, software, or communication platforms
- Attempting to disrupt services, systems, or learning environments
- Uploading malicious software, harmful code, or unauthorised scripts
- Providing false or misleading information to the company
This list is not exhaustive. HyperionDev reserves the right to determine whether conduct is inappropriate, harmful, disruptive, or in breach of its policies.
Academic Responsibility and Participation 📚
Students acknowledge that successful completion of a Bootcamp requires substantial time, commitment, and personal responsibility. Students are expected to:
- Attend and participate in required learning activities
- Meet deadlines and manage their study schedules responsibly
- Put in additional effort if they fall behind
- Engage with support teams if assistance is needed
- Act on guidance and development plans provided by HyperionDev
HyperionDev may conduct progress reviews and check-ins to support student success and progression.
Investigations and Disciplinary Action
Alleged breaches of the Code of Conduct are treated seriously and may result in:
- Formal warnings
- Temporary suspension pending investigation
- Restricted access to platforms or services
- Immediate disenrolment or expulsion from the Bootcamp
Under HyperionDev’s Two-Strike Policy, students who continue to breach the Code of Conduct after receiving a warning may be summarily expelled without refund.
HyperionDev reserves the right to determine appropriate disciplinary action based on the severity and nature of the conduct.
Reporting Concerns or Misconduct 📩
Students who experience or witness behaviour that breaches the Code of Conduct should report it immediately through the appropriate internal channels.
