Our live lectures are hosted on Google Meet. Students join lectures as viewers or moderated contributors, which means you will be able to watch the lecture, answer polls and ask questions through the Q&A tool, but you will not be able to switch on your microphone or camera during the session.
Before the Lecture 👩🏫
To avoid technical issues during class:
- Restart your device before the lecture begins.
- Close unnecessary applications and browser tabs.
- Make sure your browser is updated.
If You Cannot Hear the Lecture 📴
Try the following steps:
- Check that your device volume is turned on.
- Make sure the correct speakers or headphones are selected in your device settings.
- Refresh the Google Meet page.
- Disconnect and reconnect your headphones if you are using them.
- Try leaving and rejoining the meeting.
If the Lecture Video Is Not Loading 📽️
- Refresh your browser tab.
- Close other streaming applications or downloads.
- Try switching browsers (Google Chrome is recommended).
- Disable browser extensions that may interfere with video playback.
- Check whether your internet connection is stable.

Some devices may block browser access to audio or video playback automatically.
Please ensure:
- Your browser allows Google Meet permissions.
- Your browser is up to date.
- Cookies and JavaScript are enabled.

Mobile Devices 📲
You may join lectures from a mobile phone or tablet using the Google Meet App. However, for coding tasks, GitHub submissions and dashboard interaction, a laptop or desktop device is strongly recommended.
