Now that you have gotten used to some of the systems we have for your use, you now require further assistance in one of your tasks, or you are stuck to a point where research no longer is assisting you. This is where we would recommend booking a mentor call.
To book a mentor call, on your dashboard click the book a call with a Mentor link and the following will happen :
Once the link is clicked you will be presented with two booking options, either a 1:1 Mentor Call or the Installation Assistance Call.
Both are functionally the same, however the context for either of them are different, if you are in need of technical support for a task, or looking for insight and recommendations, it is recommended that you book a 1:1 Mentor Call.
Should you require assistance in installing software, such as Python or Node for instance, then it would be recommended that you select the Installation Assistance Call.
Once you have made your selection, you will then be taken to a page where you can schedule your booking, you can select the date and times available for your session. The time zones for your call will change depending on where you are located.
Then you will be asked to fill out the details for the session, make sure to always be descriptive as possible to allow the Mentors to give you the best possible assistance with your session. Vague information will lead to wasted time in the session figuring out what the task / issue at hand is. Once complete, click the Done button and a confirmation of the session will be displayed, and you will receive email confirmation.
Make sure that when the session does come around that you are punctual and ready to share your work with the mentor so as to get an understanding of what the problem with your submission is, they will need to look at your work.
When in the meeting, click the share screen button and follow the on screen instructions to share your work with the Mentor.
From this point forward, the mentor will give instructions or feedback on your work to hopefully get you on the right track with your work.
