Our lectures are designed to create a focused, respectful and accessible learning environment for all students.
Lectures are hosted on Google Meet and students join as viewers or moderated contributors.
How Participation Works
During lectures, students participate through:
- The Q&A feature
- Polls and interactive prompts
- Following along with demonstrations and discussions
Students do not join the stage during standard lecture sessions unless specifically invited by a lecturer or moderator.
Cameras and Microphones
To maintain lecture quality and minimise disruptions:
- Student microphones remain disabled
- Student cameras remain disabled
- Questions are submitted through the Q&A tool instead of the chat
This allows lecturers to manage larger sessions more effectively while still giving students opportunities to engage.
Asking Questions
Students are encouraged to ask questions throughout the lecture.
Questions may relate to:
- Topics being discussed
- Bootcamp tasks and coursework
- Practical implementation challenges
- Clarification on technical concepts
When asking questions:
- Keep questions clear and concise
- Stay on topic
- Check existing Q&A submissions before posting duplicates
Respectful Participation
All students are expected to:
- Interact respectfully with lecturers, moderators and other students
- Participate constructively in polls and Q&A activities
- Avoid spam or disruptive behaviour
- Follow moderator instructions during sessions
We aim to maintain a welcoming and professional environment for all learners.
Purpose of the Lectures
Lectures are optional enrichment sessions intended to extend learning beyond the core bootcamp curriculum.
Students are encouraged to:
- Explore topics that interest them
- Engage with broader industry concepts
- Strengthen their technical understanding
- Use lectures as an opportunity for additional learning and exposure
Attendance is optional and students may choose which lectures are most relevant to their goals and interests.
