Your Bootcamp Certificate vs QCTO Recognition 📄
Your bootcamp certificate and QCTO recognition are two separate outcomes.
Your Bootcamp Certificate of Completion confirms that you have completed the bootcamp requirements set by the training provider.
QCTO recognition relates specifically to the accredited component of your programme, which is Level 4. This may lead to a formal QCTO-related outcome, such as a Statement of Results, once the required assessments and processes have been completed.
Because these outcomes are separate, they may be issued at different stages. This means you may receive your bootcamp certificate before your QCTO Statement of Results, depending on where you are in the process and how long the required review steps take.
Why QCTO Requirements Are More Structured ⚖️
QCTO-accredited training must follow specific compliance rules.
These rules may include requirements around:
- Learner enrolment dates
- Cohort start dates
- Assessment conditions
- Evidence submission dates
- Learner records
- Result review and reporting
These requirements are in place to protect the validity of the accredited outcome. They also help ensure that all learners are assessed fairly, consistently, and in line with national standards.
This is why Level 4 may feel more structured than the earlier parts of your bootcamp.
Moving from Level 3 to Level 4 🚀
Progressing into Level 4 is not always as immediate as moving between Levels 1–3.
Level 4 runs in structured monthly cohorts, rather than on a continuous basis. This is because learners must be enrolled correctly for the accredited component and the relevant QCTO requirements must be followed.
If you complete Level 3 after a Level 4 cohort has already started, you will need to wait for the next available cohort before you can begin Level 4.
To support this process, Level 4 remains locked until your official cohort start date.
While this may result in a short delay between completing Level 3 and starting Level 4, the structure is in place to ensure that:
- You are enrolled correctly
- Your start date aligns with the accredited process
- Your work is submitted within the correct timeframe
- Your results remain valid and recognised
Once you become eligible to begin Level 4, you will be guided on your next available cohort start date.
Important Rules and Timelines 💡
Because Level 4 is accredited, rules and timelines must be followed to ensure compliance.
This means that:
- Level 4 can only begin once your official cohort starts
- You are expected to stay aligned with the Level 4 timeline
- The FISA follows scheduled assessment dates
- Core requirements and timelines are generally not flexible
While support is available to help you stay on track, exceptions to core requirements are generally not permitted.
These rules are in place to protect the integrity of the accredited process and to ensure that your results remain valid and recognised.
