We understand that waiting for your accredited results or certification can feel frustrating, especially after you have put in the work to complete your course requirements. This article explains how QCTO timelines work, why delays may happen, and what you can expect during the certification process.
Understanding the QCTO Process 📚
The QCTO-accredited part of your programme follows a formal external quality assurance process. This means that certain steps are managed or approved by external regulatory bodies, not only by HyperionDev.
While HyperionDev supports learners throughout the process and submits the required information where needed, final approvals, verification outcomes, and Statements of Results are dependent on the relevant external bodies.
Why Timelines May Vary 🕒
QCTO-related timelines can differ depending on the stage of the process your cohort is in. Some steps may require external review, verification, or approval before learners can move forward.
Delays can happen for reasons such as:
- Awaiting external feedback or approval from the relevant quality assurance body
- Verification or site-related requirements that must be completed before assessments can continue
- Administrative processing times outside of HyperionDev’s direct control
- Statements of Results needing to be processed and issued by the relevant authority
- Cohort scheduling requirements linked to accredited programme rules
Although these delays are not always within our control, we continue to follow up regularly and will update affected learners as soon as we receive confirmed information. 📩
Level 4 and Assessment Scheduling 🚀
For learners completing the QCTO-accredited component, Level 4 may only become available once the correct cohort and enrolment requirements have been confirmed.
This is because accredited learners must be enrolled within strict QCTO timelines. To remain compliant, Level 4 access, tasks, and related instructions are only released when the accredited cohort officially begins.
This helps ensure that learner records, assessment dates, and programme timelines remain correctly aligned with QCTO requirements. ✅
FISA and Final Results 📝
The Final Integrated Summative Assessment, also known as the FISA, is the final assessment linked to the accredited component.
Once the FISA has been completed, the required results and supporting information must be submitted for external processing. The issuing of final results or Statements of Results is then dependent on the relevant authority’s review and processing timelines.
HyperionDev will communicate updates as soon as there is confirmed progress. 📢
What This Means for Learners 🤝
If you are affected by a QCTO-related delay, please be assured that this does not mean your progress has been forgotten or that you need to start over.
Where delays affect access to the accredited component, HyperionDev will ensure that learners are not disadvantaged. This may include extending the relevant support period where needed so that learners still receive the time required to complete the accredited module.
Learners may also continue to access available support channels while waiting for the next confirmed step.
We know that waiting can be stressful, and we aim to keep learners updated whenever there is meaningful progress to share.
