When completing an Accredited programme or module, it is important to understand the difference between completing the bootcamp component and obtaining a formal qualification through the accredited module.
Although these are connected, they are not the same thing and they are issued at different stages of your learning journey.
Bootcamp Completion π»
Bootcamp completion means that you have successfully completed the required bootcamp levels, tasks, and learning activities on the HyperionDev platform.
Once you have completed the bootcamp component, you may be eligible to receive a Bootcamp Certificate of Completion. This certificate confirms that you completed the practical bootcamp training and can be used to support your CV, LinkedIn profile, or job search. π
The bootcamp certificate is issued by HyperionDev and reflects your completion of the bootcamp portion of the programme.
Formal Qualification π
A formal qualification refers to the accredited component of your programme.
For learners enrolled in an accredited programme, this usually includes completing the required accredited module, such as Level 4, and meeting any additional assessment requirements linked to the qualification.
This may include requirements such as:
- completing the accredited learning component;
- submitting the required evidence;
- participating in required assessments;
- completing the final assessment process, where applicable; and
- awaiting confirmation or results from the relevant external body.
Formal qualification outcomes are linked to the relevant accrediting or quality assurance body, such as QCTO or MICT SETA, depending on the programme. β
Why These Are Issued Separately π
The bootcamp certificate and formal qualification are issued separately because they confirm different parts of your learning journey.
The Bootcamp Certificate of Completion confirms that you completed the bootcamp training.
The formal qualification or Statement of Results confirms the outcome of the accredited component and is subject to the relevant external quality assurance and certification processes.
This means that you may receive your bootcamp certificate before your formal qualification outcome is available. β³
What This Means for You π
Completing the bootcamp is an important milestone and shows that you have completed the practical training component of your programme.
However, the formal qualification is only awarded once all accredited requirements have been met and processed through the relevant quality assurance body.
Where there are external processes involved, such as verification, assessment approval, or Statement of Results processing, timelines may depend on the relevant accrediting body and may fall outside of HyperionDevβs direct control.
